Active Fife Sessions
The SportsSTARS programme is a sports participation programme which runs across Fife. All sessions are led by qualified and PVG registered coaches. The sessions are designed so that children can develop in their sports skills in a fun and safe environment.

******If you or any member of your household have symptoms of COVID-19 you MUST NOT attend any sessions
The most common symptoms are new:
- continuous cough
- fever/high temperature (37.8C or greater)
- loss of, or change in, sense of smell or taste (anosmia)
- A new continuous cough is where you: have a new cough that’s lasted for an hour, have had 3 or more episodes of coughing in 24 hours, are coughing more than usual
- A high temperature is feeling hot to the touch on your chest or back (you don’t need to measure your temperature). You may feel warm, cold or shivery.
ACTIVITY – Physical distancing remains in place before, during and after the session for Coaches & Parents. Numbers are limited inline with SGB guidance along with government and local authority guidlines. A face covering MUST be worn when entering and leaving the building and should only be removed when the session starts.
WHAT TO BRING – A full water bottle should be taken to the activity session. This should not be shared with others. Ensure you take all your belongings with you at the end of the session.
BEFORE LEAVING HOME & AFTER YOU RETURN – Please make sure your child goes to the toilet before coming along to the session as toilets. Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20seconds before leaving home and when you return.
EQUIPMENT – Hand sanitiser will be provided and should be used before you start your activity. All equipment will be cleaned and wiped down after each session.
TRAVELLING TO AND FROM THE VENUE – Avoid using public transport. You should walk, wheel or cycle, (where possible). Arrive as close as possible to your session time. Use hand sanitiser before the start of your session. Ensure you leave the activity area at the end of your session so that it is empty for the next one.
MAINTAIN PHYSICAL DISTANCING – Stay at least two metres away from coaches and other parents (including during play, when taking breaks and before and after play). Do not make physical contact with other participants (such as shaking hands or high five).
EQUIPMENT & FACILITIES – When sharing equipment extra care must be taken to ensure you do not touch your face during the activity, and you should clean your hands before and after your session with a hand sanitiser.
HYGIENE – If you need to sneeze or cough, do so into a tissue or upper sleeve. Avoid touching your face. Hand hygiene is imperative. See Health Protection Scotland’s hand hygiene information for further details
