Tennis Leaders Course

When: Wednesday 12th February

Age: 13yrs+

Cost: FREE

Time: 9am – 3pm

The tennis leaders course is your first step on the tennis coaching pathway. Learn the basics of tennis and understand how variations of the game are used to introduce all ages and abilities to the sport. Learn communication and organisational skills and some key on court drills.

Children 1st, In Safe Hands Workshop for Child Protection Officers

The ‘In Safe Hands’ workshop focuses on helping sports clubs to put child protection policies into practice. The workshop is aimed at those operating in sports clubs as the Child Protection/Welfare Officer.

Subjects covered include legal duties, roles and responsibilities, practical procedures (including safe recruitment and selection of those who have contact with children in sport) and how to appropriately manage concerns. As well as exploring the relevant issues through discussion, the workshop offers practical advice, examples, resources and information about ongoing support available to sports clubs.
