Inclusive MULTI-SPORT Sessions for 16+ yrs @ Madras College Community Use

Active Fife and Community Use High Schools work with community groups to run inclusive sports sessions across Fife.  These sessions offer a wide variety of sports activities aimed at improving balance, movement, co-ordination as well as developing basic sports skills.  Each session is designed to meet the needs of individuals with an additional support need and/or a disability.

All-Ability Bike Night Inclusive CYCLING for 13+ yrs @ Lochore Meadows Outdoor Education Centre
Sep 29 @ 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm

Active Fife run inclusive cycling sessions at Lochore Meadows Outdoor Education Centre near Lochgelly.  Each session is designed to meet the needs of individuals with an additional support need and/or a disability.  Lochore Meadows has a stock of adapted bikes suitable for individuals who have a variety of impairments.

 

On Tuesday evenings two Bike night sessions for people with a disability take place at Lochore Meadows Outdoor Education Centre.  The sessions run between April (after the Easter school holidays) and the first week in October Lochore Meadows during school terms only.

 

The first Tuesday session runs between 5.30pm-6.30pm and gives families/carers and the cyclist with a disability supported access to the full range of adapted and mainstream bikes.  They are then able to use these bikes for a recreational cycle around the park either with or without a volunteer.  The second Tuesday session runs between 6.45pm-7.45pm and is coach led.  Please note everyone attending for the first time will attend the 5.30pm session.  Both sessions are available for individuals who are at beginner, intermediate or advanced level and cost £3.00 per session, carers go free.  The ideal age for the Bike Night is 13+ years, anyone younger may be able to be accommodated with support from family or carers.

 

It is possible to hire the adapted and mainstream bikes during the Lochore Meadows outdoor education centre opening hours.  This costs £3 for each bike and is non instructor led.  Lochore Meadows can be contacted directly on 01592 583388 to book a bike.
